Who We Are as a Student Ministry
Who We Are as a Student Ministry: We are a group of students who want to “to be real people who love God, love people and Make God Famous. That is what we are trying to accomplish. Who we are consists of a few smaller groups. Students are welcome to join from Grade 6 to Seniors in High School. We usually promote during August. We also incorporate caring adults that include parents of students as well as other adults who give of their time and energy to invest in the lives of the students. What we do as a Student Ministry: - “Journey” currently is our Wednesday night group time. We start at 6:45PM in the gym. We start out with a time of worship, move to a time of teaching and finish with small groups that discuss the evenings teaching in a way that relates to the age graded groups. - Sunday School is where we use the small groups after a time of teaching to build relationships and spiritual growth. We meet every Wednesday night at 6:45 in the Gym. - Socials are usually the last Sunday night of each month. This is just a time to get together and relax and have a good time and reenergize for the coming week. We usually plan to be done by 9PM to get students home in order to get ready for school the next day. - Service is a big part of how we choose to love people. Character building service projects include Project Stalos (working at the Dallas Homeless Shelter on the 4th Sunday of each month – we leave at 6:22AM) as well as other local service opportunities. We plan a mission trip each summer to serve and to share the Good News of Jesus Christ. - Summer Activities will always be highlighted by two camps: Kauf-Van Youth Camp (everyone is invited for a great in getting to know the Lord) and Super Summer (very challenging leadership camp for those who really want to grow and develop in their walk with the Lord). Other fun activities and exciting events will be planned during the summer If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch with me. Finally, you are always welcome. Students, parents and caring adults are always welcome to be a part of what God is doing in the Student Ministry of Central Baptist Church. God Bless, |

Quote of the Day
"I have but one candle of life to burn, and I would rather burn it out in a land filled with darkness than in a land flooded with light"

Verse of the Day
Yes, in the way of Your judgments, O LORD, we have waited for You; The desire of our soul is for Your name And for the remembrance of You.
